The 21st annual West Coast Jamboree

Welcome to the Dave Jackson's West Coast Jamboree website.

The West Coast Jamboree will offer two sessions in April, one April 7-10 and one April 14-17. Teams may participate in one or both, but space may be limited due to gym availability. Should we be forced to cut back on the number of teams we have room for, priority will be given to those teams that have paid in advance.

Each session will have three divisions – Elite, Premier and Junior Varsity (new this year).

In addition, there will be a four-game option in each session available to the first 16 Elite teams that register for four games, and the first 16 Premier teams that ask to play four games. (Note that teams that play four games will play two games on Saturday.)

The games will be played in the East Bay of San Francisco’s Bay Area, but to give as many teams as possible an opportunity to participate, some games will be played on multi-court facilities, such as Soldiertown in Oakland and Ultimate Fieldhouse in Walnut Creek.

To account for the fact that some schools will be in session during the events, only afternoon and evening games will be played on Wednesdays and Thursdays (April 7 and 8, and April 14 and 15). But to make the tournament brackets work, we will be forced to play games all day on both Fridays (April 9 and 16) and Saturdays (April 10 and 17), and it’s possible teams will have to miss school on Friday (should it be in session).

All participating teams that stay overnight must stay in a Host Hotel. Please use the Host Hotel tab to reserve your rooms. Due to the contributions from our Host Hotels, we can continue to support the host schools’ athletic programs. The West Coast Jamboree has contributed more than $750,000 to high school athletic programs during its 21 years of operations.

For questions and/or assistance with Host Hotels, contact Harold Abend (marketingharoldabend@gmail.com).

Host hotels

Please note that all teams staying overnight must stay in our Host Hotels. The Host Hotels support the Jamboree, its host schools and the scholarship program, and in turn, they require that teams that do use hotels choose one of the several options available.
